The production process of autobiographical printing mainly includes the following steps:

Design and typesetting: The designer uses design software to create a graphic design that meets the requirements according to the needs and intentions of the customer. This step is crucial because it determines the visual effect and information communication of the final printed product. After the design is completed, typesetting is required to ensure that the typesetting is beautiful and reasonable, the information is clear and easy to read, and technical parameters such as printing size and color must also be considered.

Platemaking: The design file needs to be checked to ensure that it meets the printing requirements, including resolution, color mode, bleed line settings, etc. After the inspection, the electronic platemaking stage is entered, and the design file is converted into a printing plate. Modern printing mostly uses CTP technology, and the design file is directly output to the plate through a laser phototypesetter. Different printing methods use different plates, such as offset printing uses aluminum plates, gravure printing uses copper plates, and screen printing uses screen plates. During the platemaking process, attention should be paid to the cleanliness and quality of the plate to ensure the printing effect.

‌Printing‌: The operator sets various parameters of the printing press, such as pressure, speed, ink volume, etc., according to the requirements of the printed matter. Before formal printing, a trial print is required to check the printing effect and find and solve problems. Only after the trial print is qualified can large-scale printing be carried out. Taking offset printing as an example, the printing press transfers ink to paper through a roller to complete the printing of pictures and texts. During the printing process, it is necessary to monitor the printing effect at any time and adjust the parameters in time to ensure the quality of the printed matter.

‌Post-printing processing‌: After printing, the printed matter can be post-processed, including laminating, cutting, folding and binding. Laminating can increase the wear resistance and waterproofness of the printed matter and improve the glossiness. Cut off the excess part to ensure the accurate size. For printed matters such as books and brochures that need to be folded, fold them neatly according to the set folding method. Finally, bind them as needed to complete the production of the printed matter.
